A trauma-informed Hatha yoga class offered for:

  • Individuals looking for a trauma-informed yoga class

  • Participants who have attended Yoga for Trauma Recovery 

In this class, participants are welcome to make choices and adjust their yoga practice to suit their individual needs and goals. 

This class won’t be offered in Term 3 (16th July to 17th September); apologies for the inconvenience.

This is a 60 minute class offered in person. You’re welcome to book in via email or drop-in.


This 5 - week course is designed to be helpful for complex trauma and posttraumatic stress, as well as anxiety, low mood and emotional distress. 

In this course, participants will learn about and practice:

  • a framework for understanding and monitoring their psychological experience

  • grounding strategies

  • embodied choice-making and empowerment

  • interoceptive awareness

  • breathing practices to support autonomic regulation and resilience

  • mindfulness and meditation

  • distress tolerance

Maximum of 10 participants. 

Each class includes psychoeducation and an evidence-based hatha yoga practice guided by TCTSY principles. 

This course does not include group discussion and participants do not talk about their mental health symptoms or histories. 

Medicare rebates are available for participants with a referral from a GP, medical professional or psychiatrist for group psychological therapy. 


Private 60 minute class tailored to your mental health and well-being goals.

You’re welcome to choose to focus on symptoms such as trauma, anxiety, depression or distress; and / or cultivating emotional regulation, acceptance, self-compassion and body awareness.

Professional development workshop covering theory, method and clinical applications of therapeutic yoga, mindfulness and other body-oriented practices and techniques.

This session covers: ​

  • Trauma theory

  • Trauma-informed care

  • Neuroscience of trauma including interoception

  • Rationale for incorporating top down & bottom up processes in therapy

  • TCTSY: Theory & Practice 

  • Trauma-informed mindfulness, meditation & breathing practices

  • Trauma-informed & trauma specific yoga practices to support autonomic regulation and resilience

  • How to use these strategies in clinical practice 


In this session you will have an opportunity to participate in TCTSY and other therapeutic mindfulness and yoga practices. 

The session is held at Yoga Moves in Shenton Park.

This session is for:

  • Psychologists and other mental health and health professionals who would like to learn more about yoga and other bottom up practices to support mental health and well-being

  • Mental health and health professionals who are referring clients / patients to yoga services

  • Mental health and health professionals with an interest in body-based interventions, combining top down and bottom up processes
