Hi, my name is Jess. I am a clinical psychologist, registered yoga teacher and Trauma Centre Trauma-Sensitive Yoga Facilitator (TCTSY-F).
At Zosia Yoga, my intention is to offer a trauma-informed yoga service which promotes mental health and well-being. A safe, collaborative, and empowering space to practise yoga and engage in yoga therapy. I facilitate yoga classes; and yoga therapy courses designed as therapeutic interventions for trauma, complex trauma, anxiety, low mood and/or emotional distress. In creating my classes and courses I draw on my experience as a clinical psychologist, registered yoga teacher and certified TCTSY Facilitator. I am passionate about the benefits of combining top down (mindful attention) and bottom up (via movement and breath) yoga practices and therapeutic interventions to promote regulation and resilience, mental health, and well-being.
At Zosia Yoga I value the opportunity to work with all people to promote their mental health and well-being. This includes individuals who would like to attend a trauma-informed yoga service, people with experiences of trauma, first responders, veterans and healthcare professionals.
As a clinical psychologist, I have a special interest in perinatal mental health, women's health and trauma and work in private practice.
